Why are there two bottles?
OrthoProtect uses activated chlorine dioxide, a safe & effective gas that can care for the whole mouth. The only way to create a true chlorine dioxide mouthwash is to mix immediately.
What does OrthoProtect taste like?
OrthoProtect has a mild, minty flavor with a cool, clean finish. It's not like a traditional mouthwash (heavy mint to freshen breath), but it's not chlorhexidine (super awful). There is no burning and no lingering aftertaste. Your teeth feel smooth and your mouth feels clean.
Can OrthoProtect be used in a water flosser?
Yes! Simply dilute equal parts mixed OrthoProtect solution with cold water before adding to the water flosser.
Is there an age restriction to use OrthoProtect?
We recommend that a patient, both young and elderly, be able to swish and spit properly before using OrthoProtect.
